Apps For America
Hear Me Say This is an entry in the Apps for America contest, sponsored by Sunlight Labs.
What It’s Built On
Hear Me Say This uses the Sunlight Labs API to get information on members of Congress representing specific zip codes, and the Twitter API to post information about recorded messages to Twitter.
The core Hear Me Say This application was built using the following technologies:
- Call Control Extensible Markup Language (CCXML)
- Voice Extensible Markup Langauge (VoiceXML)
- ECMAScript (popularly known as JavaSctipt)
- The LAMP software stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP)
- SoX - Sound eXchange
- LAME MP3 Encoder
